Bowker® Book Analysis System
Overview Bowker Book Analysis System is the only collection analysis tool licensed to use Resources for College Libraries (the definitive core list for academic libraries). This customizable, self-service tool will eliminate the need for manual comparison and reduce human error associated with one-by-one title look-ups. Leveraging bibliographic data in Books In Print®, the Bowker Book Analysis System enables the most comprehensive look at your collection because it compares all editions and formats of each title. Bowker Book Analysis System is perfect for a librarian who is trying to determine the most appropriate books for their collection. This system can analyze your collections, by subject, in a cost-effective manner. While your holdings are being analyzed with Bowker Book Analysis System, your data is also being cleansed and standardized. You will be provided with four additional reports: no match file, an invalid ISBN file, an ISBN 13-digit conversion file, and a duplicate record file (different editions/bindings of the same title), which will help you better understand any overlap in print and electronic versions of the same title.
